Our Next Meeting: Wednesday February 18th 2009 "Computer Surgery Evening"

This is an opportunity for you to bring along your machines and sort out any configuration or other problems you might have. If you can't bring your computer then just to discuss problems with softwarer, websites etc. or indeed offer advice to others. It is intended that this should be a hands on evening. Of course in our usual way this is a multi-platform evening, so RISCOS, Mac, Linux or Windows PC or online software can be included. We may not have all the answers of course! Note this is our first meeting on the Third Wednesday of the Month.

Our Last Meeting: Wednesday 21st January 2009 Social Evening 7:30 p.m.
The Tower Hotel, Dovercourt.

This was a great success arranged by Royal in his home town. This was a very pleasant hotel venue with a very quiet dining room and splendid decor. The food was very reasonably priced with a good selection with good sized portions and all freshly cooked to order.

The Hotel location tripped a few of us up since the nearest road with the Hotel postcode was a footpath and so my GPS said it couldn't find a route ("Silly machine" or should it be "Silly programmer"). So I picked the next postcode with a "Main Road" which unfortunately turned out to be "Main Road, Harwich" instead. However the two roads are colinear with another named road linking them and fortunately I had had a look at Multimap before setting out so I knew more or less where it was.

Here are a few photos of the event. Some taken by Ann Watkinson and some by Peter.
